Canadian Government
- Citizenship and Immigration Canada
http://www.cic.gc.ca/ - Are you interested in coming to Canada? This is the official Department of our Canadian Government that can help you apply to visit, study, work, or immigrate to Canada, which includes applying for citizenship, a permanent resident card, or even refugee protection. (From this web site you can also check the status of an existing application and download various PDF application forms.)
Refugee protection may be of particular interest to atheists who are trying to leave countries that don't provide protections under the law for individual freedoms, liberties, and essential human rights. (Here in Canada everyone's individual freedoms, liberties, and human rights are constitutionally protected by law as "fundamental rights.")
- Department of Justice Canada
https://www.justice.gc.ca/eng/csj-sjc/ - The Canadian justice system is unique in the world. Two official languages (English and French) and two legal traditions (common law and civil law) co-exist within our system of justice. As Canadians, we are all responsible for understanding our rights and freedoms and our duties as members of society, and this web site is helpful to that end. Courts resolve disputes, and in doing so, they interpret and establish the law for all Canadians.
