Canadian atheists
The nine lives tragically lost from the shootings in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, on February 11th, 2026, is of solemn concern to Canadians far and wide, and the expressions of compassion from many caring people throughout the world is greatly appreciated.
During this heavyhearted time of mourning, Canadian atheists offers our condolences to families and communities for the passing of loved ones and cherished friends, all of whom deserve to be remembered well. Although such events take a tremendous toll on society, it's reassuring to see so many people strive to be supportive, and in so many ways.
If contemplating harm, violence, or death, an easy telephone call to 9-8-8 will connect you with caring Canadians who genuinely want to understand your perspectives, and, without compromising the essence of who you are, help develop effective and meaningful solutions to improve your specific situation -- please reach out, even if you're not ready to make this free-and-private call, for every person is valued, including you.
